Pilpel, located near Fleet Street, is making waves in the Middle Eastern culinary scene. This restaurant is famed for its freshly made falafels, praised by customers like James O, who declares it the best falafel spot around. The falafels are consistently fresh and golden, partnered with warm, freshly baked pita that elevates the dining experience.
Julia U. highlights the flavorful options, such as guacamole and sun-dried tomatoes in their unique container boxes. However, one critique arises regarding the plastic waste, indicating an area for improvement in sustainability.
The aesthetic appeal of dishes like the aubergine and feta has garnered devotion from regulars such as Cara Poulsom, who can’t resist returning for lunch. The reviews radiate with positivity for the fresh, vibrant salads that accompany the meals, moving beyond the ordinary combinations commonly found elsewhere.
Affordably priced and wholesome, Pilpel is a commendable option for those seeking a quick yet satisfying meal. With friendly staff ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, it’s easy to see why diners are eager to return, with Martyna Dyl even grabbing takeout for later enjoyment. Overall, Pilpel’s commitment to quality and taste solidifies its standing as a go-to destination for Middle Eastern fare in London.

So tasty! We both had a container box, one with Guacamole and the other one with dried tomatos - yummy! Actually there was only one thing kind of annoying: they use so much plastic (plates, forks).

This is the best falafel place anywhere near Fleet Street, it's not even close. The falafels are always fresh out the fryer, the pita is freshly baked, the fillings are great and the salad options are so much better than just lettuce, tomato, cucumber and onions you get in other places. 10/10, customer for life!

Favourite place to eat lunch near the office! Absolutely delicious. The aubergine & feta is a must. Staff are lovely as well.

Always super fresh. Falafels - the best I’ve ever had.

Best falafel I have ever had, the food was consistent, fresh and surprisingly cheap. It was delicious, bought a falafel in pita. The food was very filling and a great lunch option. Even bought a second one to take out so I can enjoy it later. The staff member that took our order and made our food was very kind and understanding. Highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for something fast, fresh and healthy.

The best vegetarian lunch I’ve had. It’s so filling, tasty and healthy, plus only 10 which is good for London. I had the falafel container with aubergine. It comes with a pita on the side. I didn’t need dinner that day.

The food was amazing! The guys in there are really friendly! The only thing that is letting this place down is a lack of seating area but generally it’s probably the best place near work and we’ll liked by everyone at work!

One of my favourite lunch spots! I could live on these falafel in pita (white pita). I find the wholemeal a tad dry and crumbly, but this is for me the only less-than-perfect thing at Pilpel. Rest of the ingredients are delicious and the whole thing is a flavour bomb, of which you might have leftovers for the next meal thanks to the generous portions! Excellent service too
